Bruges during The Great War
For more than four years the troops of the German Emperor occupied Bruges. Hundreds of refugees, together with the Brugeans, couldn`t but share their town with the Germans, whilst on the other side of the front, fathers, man, sons were fighting for freedom.
This two hours walk through the inner town brings to mind what happened here a hundred years ago.

The lost fishing settlement of Walraversijde is one of hte most important archaeological sites in Flanders and one of hte best-studied medieval fishermen communities in Europe. The four reconstructed fishermen`s dwellings introduce you to the residents of the medieval bricks excavated during the archaeological survey of the site.
During this walk, you also can visit the house of Prince Charles (1903 - 1983).

The Bruges Beer Festival will be held on 04 and February 5, 2017 in Bruges Downtown in a new, as yet mysterious location in honor of the anniversary edition . More information will follow soon on the offical website.

Les Costumés de Venise - Parades and Evening
The Costumes of Venise is an international group of 50 beautifully costumed men and women who will stay two days in the city and bring the atmosphere of the baroque Venice to Bruges.
The costumed parades take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday, January 15th, 2017. On Saturday, January 14th at 17h00, there is also an evening planned on the Dijver along the water with a small fashion show. The evening is packed with sideshows equipped with (Italian) stands, Italian music, Venetian masks, Italian grease-paint for children and much more!
Visitors and passers-by will be able to enjoy free of charge the beautiful spectacle!

Christmas Market Bruges
From the 25th of November you can get into the Holiday spirit on the Christmas Market in Bruges. The mainsquare and the Simon Stevinsquare are turned into a magical maze of booths where you can drink gin (jenever) or hot chocolate and eat pancakes and delicious snacks. In the middle of all the conviviality you can find your inner child on the ice rink with the famous Belfry on the background.

Salsa in Bruges
Practice your best salsa skills during the southern salsa night in the Entrenous. DJ Samba will play some vivid music for you to enjoy and dance to. From 21:30 h to 22:15 h a free workshop is organised for salsa-beginners, followed by a show from Salsa dance couple Marnix & Carla. Entree is €7.
